Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1755.

Walnut tall-case clock. The hood has a cove molded flat pediment with an ovolo molded sarcophagus top, and three wooden urn finials on plinths. There is a central ovolo molded arch above the glazed door, which has an astragal top. Sidelights with astragal tops, turned three-quarter columns at the front corners, turned quarter-columns at the back corners. Waist with cove and ogee moldings at the top, and a case door with an astragal top. Base with cove molding at the tope, and ovolo moldings above the baseboard. Composite brass dial with applied chapter ring with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, applied cast decoration in the spandrels and lunette, and a name boss engraved "Jos Hollinshead Burlington." Applied seconds dial above the hands. There is a calendar aperture below the winding arbors. Engraved rhombuses between each roman hour numeral. Eight day movement.
